Gifted invests in artists to ensure their success and our region’s artistic prosperity.
The Sunshine Coast Arts Foundation’s Annual Giving program, Gifted, invests in creative development of artists to ensure their success and our region’s artistic prosperity.
Each year a group of artists across all disciplines are selected by the Board to receive a contribution towards production or presentation of work, or their professional development.
Gifted was launched in November 2020 with a very generous gift by the De Deyne Family. Ferre De Deyne is a SCAF Board Director, Sunshine Coast businessman, art collector and philanthropist.
The Gifted Patrons Group linked local ‘gifted’ artists with a gift from a donor. Patrons nominated the art medium or practice that inspired them to invest $1000 into a recipient’s creative journey.
This year, thanks to the generosity of our donors and Patrons we are Gifting $5000 to six artists, including 1 Scholarship for a dance student.
Here on the Sunshine Coast we are ‘gifted’ by the fabulous environment, a caring community and, most importantly, with gifted artists and creatives, who are talented, innovative, entrepreneurial and engaging. The program supports artists across the variety of disciplines, in keeping with the Foundation’s purpose.
